There are places where God whispers. And there are nights when He declares.

I took this image under one of the darkest skies I’ve ever stood beneath. There was no wind. No sound. Just the raw, unfiltered glory of the Milky Way sweeping across the heavens like a living psalm.

I named this piece “Written in the Heavens” because it reminded me that God has never stopped speaking — we’ve just gotten louder.

The stars know their place. They don’t strive or shout. And yet, night after night, they declare His wonder. His faithfulness. His foreverness.

May this piece be a call back to wonder. A reminder that He holds galaxies in place — and yet He sees you, right where you are.

What if the moment you've dreamed of is slipping away right before your eyes?

I stood on the rocky terrain of Craters of The Moon National Monument, the cool desert air nipping at my skin. The taste of dust lingered on my tongue, and the smell of sagebrush filled my nostrils. The night was eerily silent, broken only by the occasional rustle of wind against the volcanic rock formations.

Astrophotography is an art form that requires patience and precision. I had traveled hundreds of miles, driven by the desire to capture the beauty of the Milky Way. The park's dark skies promised an unrivaled view, but as the minutes ticked by, doubt began to gnaw at my resolve.

Setting up my camera, I battled with the intricate settings, adjusting the ISO and aperture, fearing that one mistake could ruin everything. The cold metal of the tripod chilled my fingers, and my heart pounded with a mix of excitement and dread. Would the clouds stay away? Would my equipment fail me? These thoughts swirled as I anxiously glanced at the horizon.

The moment arrived. The sky, a canvas of twinkling stars, unveiled the Milky Way in all its glory. I felt an overwhelming rush of awe and relief. Click. The shutter closed, and I held my breath, waiting for the result. There it was—the Milky Way, captured in its magnificent splendor. The culmination of my fears and struggles, immortalized in one perfect shot.

This profound experience taught me that the journey, with all its challenges and doubts, makes the triumph even sweeter.

Meet The Artist

I discovered my passion for capturing the wonders of creation at twelve, holding a pink camera under the sprawling branches of a black walnut tree. It was spring, and the air carried the heavy perfume of fruit blossoms. Before me stretched a field awash in purple wildflowers, their brilliance framed by clouds lazily drifting across an endless sky. Though recovering from illness, my soul stirred, urging me to preserve the moment. The click of the shutter felt like a vow: I would someday share the beauty of this world with everyone.

But life had its demands, and my dream grew quiet as I matured. At twenty-six, a degenerative nerve disease altered my course. With hands that betrayed me and my vision blurred, the lens seemed further from reach. The ache to create remained, yet my abilities became uncertain and my aspirations distant. I prayed, unsure if the desire to photograph was meant to stay or fade.

In 2019, the quiet ember reignited. With faith as my anchor, I enrolled in classes to master the art I once thought lost. The work was painstaking. My fingers trembled, my sight faltered, but each image I captured spoke of determination. Slowly, I rediscovered my rhythm, my purpose, and my joy.

By 2023, I had learned not only to take photographs but to share them. An online academy guided me in turning passion into livelihood. Hesitant, yet hopeful, I launched a small store, my art a reflection of my journey. That fall, my first sale arrived—a quiet affirmation.

Today, my photographs grace walls and hearts. Each frame whispers stories of resilience and grace, a reflection of a Creator’s hand in my life. Through my lens, I offer the world a glimpse of glory, one image at a time.
