That’s what I pondered as I stood before the Bow Bridge in Central Park, my camera in hand, on a cloudy winter's day.
The sky was a tapestry of gray, woven with the soft light that photographers dream about. There was a stillness in the air, the kind that makes you feel like you're the only one in the world. My fingers were chilly as I adjusted my camera, trying to capture the bridge not just as a structure, but as a story.
The taste of cinnamon from my earlier snack lingered on my tongue, mingling with the earthy scent of the park. The city's usual noise was hushed, replaced by the whispering wind that rustled the barren branches above.
Photography is about light, and on days like this, with the sun hidden away, you have to find the light within the landscape itself. The bridge, reflected in the still water, was my light today.
As I clicked the shutter, I felt a connection to the scene before me. It was as if I was painting with shadows, crafting a photograph that was a bridge to a moment, suspended in the silent beauty of a winter's day.
